The global elite tackling the world’s greatest problems – including gender inequality – at the Davos summit are fuelling a surge in prostitution in the Swiss resort town.
Demand for sex work skyrockets each year at the meeting of world leaders and business tycoons who jet in from all around the world to rub shoulders with each other.
Escorts are booked into the same hotels as high-powered bosses and their employees during the five-day summit, which started on January 16.
One sex worker named Liana said she dresses in business attire so she doesn’t stand out among the executives, despite prostitution being legal in Switzerland.
She told Bild she regularly sees an American who visits Switzerland multiple times a year and is among the 2,700 conference attendees.
Liana charges around €700 ($760) for an hour and €2,300 ($2,500) for the whole night, plus travel expenses.
The manager of one escort service in Aargau, 100 miles away from the summit, says she has already received 11 bookings and 25 inquiries – and expects many more to follow this week.
She told 20 Minuten: ‘Some also book escorts for themselves and their employees to party in the hotel suite.’
Salome Balthus, a sex worker and writer, posted on Twitter: ‘Date in Switzerland during #WWF means looking at the gun muzzles of security guards in the hotel corridor at 2 a.m. – and then sharing the giveaway chocolates from the restaurant with them and gossiping about the rich… #Davos #WEF.’

The World Council for Health (WCH) continues to oppose the World Health Organization (WHO)’s attempted power grab in the form of both a proposed pandemic treaty as well as amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR).
The WHO is an unelected, majority private-funded body seeking powers that would override national constitutions and violate fundamental human rights. A mysterious body beholden to corporate interests must not be given additional power. In fact, it should have vastly less power than it does right now if any at all.
The proposed amendments would further solidify the WHO as a global authority by making their proclamations legally binding rather than simply being recommendations. Granted, many countries already appear to respond as though the WHO’s proclamations are legally binding, but room exists to act as a sovereign nation in the best interest of the people. In effect, the proposed amendments would make acting in the best interest of a country’s people an offense, would usher in global digital health certificates, and increase the earning potential of the WHO, its partners, and the medical industrial complex, among many other things.
What’s more, these negotiations are happening behind closed doors outside of view, and without input from the public. The sixth meeting is happening this week (9-13 January). To attend, an application must be completed that includes the submission of a photo and numerous personal details including a passport number.
The 76th World Health Assembly is scheduled for the end of May of this year. The amendments to the IRH must be submitted to the WHO at least 4 months in advance in order for the proposed amendments to be considered during the next assembly. As such, the IHRRC intends to submit the proposed amendments by 15 January.
The outcome of these meetings affects each and every one of us. It is unacceptable that they are happening behind closed doors and without public participation. Action must be taken to both expose and stop these attempts. We must also remember that a better way is possible and is within reach.
It is also important to note that the WHO views opposition to the Covid-19 injections—what they call “anti-vaccine activism”—as a “major killing force globally” more dangerous than “gun violence, global terrorism, nuclear proliferation, or cyberattacks.”

In an interview with The Defender, Francis Boyle, J.D., Ph.D., bioweapons expert and professor of international law at the University of Illinois, said the World Health Organization’s (WHO) latest proposals may violate international law. Boyle called for U.S. federal and state governments to exit the WHO immediately.

Secretive negotiations took place this week in Geneva, Switzerland, to discuss proposed amendments to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) International Health Regulations (IHR), considered a binding instrument of international law.
Similar negotiations took place last month for drafting a new WHO pandemic treaty.
While the two are often conflated, the proposed IHR amendments and the proposed pandemic treaty represent two separate but related sets of proposals that would fundamentally alter the WHO’s ability to respond to “public health emergencies” throughout the world — and, critics warn, significantly strip nations of their sovereignty.
According to author and researcher James Roguski, these two proposals would transform the WHO from an advisory organization to a global governing body whose policies would be legally binding.
They also would greatly expand the scope and reach of the IHR, institute a system of global health certificates and “passports” and allow the WHO to mandate medical examinations, quarantine and treatment.
Roguski said the proposed documents would give the WHO power over the means of production during a declared pandemic, call for the development of IHR infrastructure at “points of entry” (such as national borders), redirect billions of dollars to the “Pharmaceutical Hospital Emergency Industrial Complex” and remove mention of “respect for dignity, human rights and fundamental freedoms of people.”
Francis Boyle, J.D., Ph.D., professor of international law at the University of Illinois, said the proposed documents may also contravene international law.
Boyle, author of several international law textbooks and a bioweapons expert who drafted the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989, recently spoke with The Defender about the dangers — and potential illegality — of these two proposed documents. …
As previously reported by The Defender, the IHR framework already allows the WHO director-general to declare a public health emergency in any country, without the consent of that country’s government, though the framework requires the two sides to first attempt to reach an agreement.
According to the same WHO document, the recommendations of the IHR Review Committee and the member states’ Working Group on Amendments to the International Health Regulations (2005) (WGIHR) will be reported to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus by mid-January, in the leadup to the WHO’s 76th World Health Assembly in late May.
Boyle said he questioned the legality of the above documents, citing for instance the fact that “the proposed WHO treaty violates the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties,” which was ratified in 1969, and which Boyle described as “the international law of treaties for every state in the world.”
Boyle explained the difference between the latest pandemic treaty and IHR proposals. “The WHO treaty would set up a separate international organization, whereas the proposed regulations would work within the context of the WHO we have today.”
However, he said, “Having read through both of them, it’s a distinction without a difference.” He explained:
“Either one or both will set up a worldwide totalitarian medical and scientific police state under the control of Tedros and the WHO, which are basically a front organization for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Tony Fauci, Bill Gates, Big Pharma, the biowarfare industry and the Chinese Communist government that pays a good chunk of their bills.
“Either they’ll get the regulations or they’ll get the treaty, but both are existentially dangerous. These are truly dangerous, existentially dangerous and insidious documents.”
Boyle, who has written extensively on international law and argued cases on behalf of Palestine and Bosnia in the International Court of Justice, told The Defender he has “never read treaties and draft international organizations that are so completely totalitarian as the IHR regulations and the WHO treaty,” adding:
“Either one or both will set up a totalitarian medical and scientific police state that will be beyond the control of national, state and local government authorities.
“Both the IHR regulations and the WHO treaty, as far as I can tell from reading them, are specifically designed to circumvent national, state and local government authorities when it comes to pandemics, the treatment for pandemics and also including in there, vaccines.”

When the Pfizer-BioNtech’s mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (a word I will be using pretty loosely throughout this article) hit the market, in December 2020, it was met with a mixture of relief, excitement, trepidation (among those who didn’t want to take it) and pride in Germany, the country where it was developed. In some quarters it was treated as a literal godsend, including on the magazine cover of the December 23, 2020 edition of the German weekly Stern, whose main title read, “Vaccination: An Act of Charity”:
Much has changed since then. COVID-19 vaccine mandates and passports have come and, in most cases, gone (at least for now). Tens of millions of unvaccinated people in so-called liberal democracies have been demonized, systematically discriminated against and deprived of access to basic government services, public buildings and even the ability to travel or work.
As IM Doc noted in the comments section of KLG’s fine essay, The Ethics of COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates: Where Do We Stand and Where Should We Go Regarding Social and Biomedical Responses to Pandemic, the mandates for these experimental drugs “went against the very essence of two of the most important statements of our ethical code as a civilization – The Nuremberg Code and the Helsinki Declarations. More importantly, they were a slap to the face of one of the guiding principles of medical ethics since Hippocrates – that of patient autonomy.” All for the sake of vaccines that are not nearly as safe or as effective as originally claimed.
As I said, things have changed. Even in Germany, a country that came closer than most to enacting a universal COVID-19 vaccine mandate, Pfizer-BioNtech’s scientific godsend has become a hugely expensive burden.

So reads the headline of an article published by Die Welt on Jan. 31, 2022. According to the article, there are currently more than 150 million surplus vials in the government’s central warehouse — and no end in sight to the deliveries. The government now wants to cancel or reduce the additional orders made through the EU Commission for 2023 and 2024. Germany’s Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach — who just a few months ago proposed taking Germany’s vaccine passport restrictions to a whole new level — is taking flak as allegations mount that he reordered a huge new batch of the vaccines despite slumping demand for the COVID-19 boosters.
More information seeped out earlier this week, thanks to a freedom of information act request from the right-wing populist political party Alternative for Germany (AfD). According to another piece in Die Welt, Germany’s government was already sitting on stockpiles of over 30 million unused vaccine doses, and is now apparently on the hook for an additional 375 million of the Pfizer BioNtech COV-19 vaccine for the next two years — enough to vaccinate the entire population four times over and still have stock left over [machine translated]:
There is a surplus of around 32 million vaccine doses in the federal central warehouse. The federal government is also obliged to purchase around 375 million doses of the Corona vaccine from Biontech/Pfizer. But what happens to the surplus vaccine doses?
Germany has committed to buy around 375 million doses of Corona vaccine from Biontech/Pfizer. This emerged from a response by the federal government to a request from the AfD parliamentary group, which the Bundestag published on Tuesday. Accordingly, as of November 30, 2022, the Federal Republic was contractually obliged to purchase around 283 million doses. In addition, there is a purchase obligation “for a further” 92.4 million. The government did not provide any information about the price per dose. This is subject to contractual confidentiality and may not be made public.
Both Pfizer BioNtech and the European Commission, which negotiated the EU’s bulk purchase of COVID-19 vaccines, have agreed to keep schtum about the price of the vaccines, as well as a whole host of other details enclosed within the vaccine contracts. The abject lack of transparency around the Commission’s vaccine negotiations is now the subject of an investigation by Europe’s Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO).
That said, credible estimates have surfaced that place the price per shot at around €20. According to sections of the vaccine contracts seen by the Financial Times, the price for the vaccines in the EU’s biggest vaccine contract, for up to 1.8 billion doses of the Pfizer-BioNtech jab, signed in May 2021, was €19.50 a pop — a 26% markup on the initial price (€15.50) paid in late December 2020. From that price, one can extrapolate that Germany’s federal government will have paid around €7-7.5 billion for the additional 375 million vaccines it ordered last year.
Now, back to the second Die Welt piece:
According to the Federal Ministry of Health’s vaccination dashboard, a total of around 163 million doses of vaccine from Biontech/Pfizer were delivered by the end of last year, as well as around 60 million doses from other manufacturers such as Moderna. According to the data, more than 85% of the almost 223 million doses delivered have been administered so far. But there are still about 32 million doses left over. According to the vaccination dashboard, 7,000 people are currently being vaccinated per day.
At that rate, it will take roughly 162 years to use up all of the remaining and soon-to-arrive vaccines. According to the US FDA, the shelf-life of the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccines is 6-9 months, when stored at a temperature of -90 to -60 degrees Celsius.
This may partly explain why Germany’s government is so desperate to get China to approve Pfizer-BioNtech’s mRNA COVID vaccines for its gargantuan population as it abandons its “zero” COVID lockdown policies. …

Switzerland, home to less than 9 million people, is one of the biggest mRNA vaccine customers in the world relative to population. The’ve already received a staggering 33 million Covid vaccine doses, only a little over half of which were ever administered. The small country is now sitting on 13.5 million doses, nervously awaiting the delivery of a further 2 million in the coming weeks, and surely lamenting that 11.6 million more are scheduled to arrive by the end of 2023. The vast majority of these will sit for some months in freezers before the Swiss Confederation destroys them. The country already binned more than eleven million doses last year, the greater part of them after a deal to supply surplus snake oil to the third world via the failed Covax initiative fell through because nobody in Africa wants this stuff either.
Vaccine credulity may still be the mainstream, politically acceptable position, but revealed preferences show that enormous majorities everywhere are done with mass vaccination. Pharmaceutical executives can sing their doubtful hymns to the miraculous safety and efficacy of their jabs, but the quiet worldwide rejection of their garbage products is a stinging rebuke, suggesting that billions across the world harbour unexpressed scepticism towards the mRNA Covid vaccines.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), online “anti-vaccine activism” is more dangerous than terrorism, nuclear proliferation, and gun violence.
“We have to recognize that anti-vaccine activism, which I actually call anti-science aggression, has now become a major killing force globally,” said Baylor College of Medicine’s Dr. Peter Hotez, in a video shared by the WHO on Twitter.

Dr. Hotez continued to warn that anti-vaccine activism is “a killing force” that is more dangerous than “gun violence, global terrorism, nuclear proliferation, or cyberattacks.”
“And now it’s become a political movement,” he continued. “In the U.S., it’s linked to far extremism on the far Right. Same in Germany. So this is a new face of anti-science aggression.”
The video concludes with Dr. Hotez saying: “And so we need political solutions to address this.”
Hotez has been a vocal critic of vaccine skepticism. In 2021, he wrote that opposing Covid measures was not only anti-science but also a form of “aggression,” which he blamed on conservative politicians, academics, and news outlets.
In a piece published by Nature Reviews Immunology in September 2022, Hotez said there was a need to seek “outside advice from experts in homeland security, justice, commerce, and even the US State Department,” as well as “the various United Nations agencies” to “protect” people from “anti-science” activists.
