Who is Hananya Naftali?
His Twitter page, which has more than <https://twitter.com/HananyaNaftali> 165,000 followers, states, “I’m that Israeli who talks to the camera about peace in the Middle East.”
Indeed, Naftali—a prominent pro-Israel influencer on multiple social media platforms, speaking out against antisemitism, BDS, Iran and other threats the Jewish people face on a daily basis—has become a household name.
Naftali was born in 1995 in Safed (Tzfat) to parents who were refugees from the former Soviet Union, and later grew up in Samaria. The family immigrated to Israel in the early 1990s, as soon as the Soviet Union collapsed, with the help of the Jewish Agency for Israel in Hungary.
“From the stories I heard from my grandpa, things weren’t good,” Naftali said in an interview with JNS. “People made fun of his name and even suggested changing it to conceal his Jewish identity. And today, this cycle is coming back, and Jews are one of the few groups in the world that still have to conceal who they are.”

Israeli influencer Hananya Naftali has apologised after a tweet he shared about the hospital blast in Gaza City contained misinformation.
Hundreds of people have been killed by an explosion at the crowded Al-Ahli Arab Hospital. However, it’s not clear who is responsible for the attack.

“BREAKING: Israeli Air Force struck a Hamas terrorist base inside a hospital in Gaza. A multiple number of terrorists are dead,” he wrote.
“It’s heartbreaking that Hamas is launching rockets from hospitals, Mosques, schools, and using civilians as human shields.”
Palestinian officials say it was caused by an Israeli air strike, the BBC <https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-67140250> reports. However, Israel’s military claims it was the result of a failed rocket launch by Palestinian Islamic Jihad – which the group has denied.
Naftali is an Israeli human rights activist with more than 350,000 followers and has been continuously tweeting about the conflict.
He describes himself as: “That Israeli who talks to the camera about peace in the Middle East.”

Israeli internet star apologises
Following the uproar, Naftali quickly apologised on <https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/topic/twitter/> Twitter, claiming he was simply quoting an article he had seen on Reuters.
“Earlier today I shared a report that was published on Reuters about the bombing at the hospital in Gaza which falsely stated Israel struck the hospital,” he wrote.
“I mistakenly shared this information in a since deleted post in which I referenced Hamas’ routine use of hospitals to store weapons caches and conduct terrorist activity.”
He said “I apologize for this error” and added: “As the IDF does not bomb hospitals, I assumed Israel was targeting one of the Hamas bases in Gaza.”
“It is known that Hamas is using civilians as human shields, it is a war crime and a crime against humanity. This should be the focus.”

In addition to the extensive evidence presented by these experts, the nail in the coffin of the Israeli claim is that Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s social media specialist, Hananya Naftali, <https://skwawkbox.org/2023/10/18/israel-claims-hamas-blew-up-hospital-but-netanyahu-staffer-boasted-israel-did-it/> boasted of the Israeli air force hitting the hospital – a tweet that was deleted when the official government narrative blamed Hamas for the more than five hundred civilian deaths the strike had caused.
Despite this, Channel 4 stands out among so-called ‘mainstream’ media by mentioning this preponderance of evidence against Israel’s claim, instead of simply parroting the official line, while the UK and other governments, as well as the UK’s supposed ‘opposition’, have amplified the false claim and supported Israel’s attacks.

After a missile attack on a Christian-run hospital killed more than five hundred civilians and hospital staff, the Israeli propaganda machine quickly claimed that the missile had been launched by Palestinian group Hamas – and that claim was echoed and amplified by UK broadcasters.

The Christian-run Al-Ahli hospital targeted by Israel has been operating for 141 years and was founded by the Church of England’s Church Mission Society. Civilians were massed in its courtyard in the forlorn hope that Israel would respect international law by not attacking a hospital. The latest attack must be added to the burgeoning list of war crimes by the apartheid Netanyahu regime. Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has condemned the Israeli attack as a ‘massacre’, tweeting:
We are horrified by the recent Israeli bombing of Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City, which was treating patients and hosting displaced Gazans. Hundreds of people have reportedly been killed.
Israel has also tried to blame a deadly attack on a road full of fleeing refugees on Hamas, despite reports that it was an Israeli air strike. The propaganda machine is in full swing, but slipped this evening – and shame on those UK broadcasters and press that amplified the lie.

Keir Starmer’s is facing mass resignations after his attempt last night to mollify councillors outraged by his support for Israeli war crimes and his ban on showing support for Palestinians ended in disaster. According to ITV’s Shehab Khan, Starmer and his acolytes arranged an ‘urgent’ with council leaders after reports of widespread resignations.
Shadow Foreign Secretary David Lammy and Starmer’s chief of staff Sue Gray were despatched to try to calm the situation but were told they ‘only have days to act’ by council leaders speaking on behalf of councillors appalled at Starmer’s <https://skwawkbox.org/2023/10/11/video-after-starmer-backs-israel-right-to-starve-gaza-un-sec-gen-says-israel-must-allow-food-in-right-now/>support for Israel’s ‘right’ to deprive Gazan civilians of food, water, power and medical supplies – a clear war crime under international law.

Gray reportedly tried to defuse the anger at the gathering by pointing to Starmer’s subsequent equivocations, but the meeting was described to Khan as ‘a total mess’.
Council leaders said they face mass resignations – up to dozens per council. Astonishingly – or rather not, given how arrogant and out of touch the Labour right is – the party regime was said to be ‘shocked’ at the strength of feeling and the extent of the outrage.

Police state strikes journalistic freedom again

Murray had travelled to Iceland to visit other campaigners working for the freedom of wrongly-jailed Wikileaks journalist Julian Assange and also took part in a demonstration outside Iceland’s Al<thorn>ingi parliament against Israeli war crimes and genocide in Gaza.
Murray’s electronics, including his laptop and phone, were confiscated and he was questioned about the pro-Assange activists he met and his attendance at the pro-Palestinian demonstration.
Murray is a former UK ambassador who became a journalist and exposed off-book meetings between Tory ministers and the then-Israeli ambassador. He was <https://skwawkbox.org/2021/05/11/breaking-left-wing-writer-and-former-ambassador-craig-murray-sentence-to-8-months-in-prison-for-article-authorities-did-not-ask-to-be-taken-down/>jailed for eight months, serving half the sentence before release, after a farcical conviction in a Scottish court for supposed ‘jigsaw identification’, even though so-called ‘mainstream’ media had actually identified the person involved and Murray had not. Alba Party MP Kenny MacAskill called Murray’s sentencing:
vindictive and a sad day for Scottish justice.
Murray’s detention, which looks like an attempt to punish and intimidate for not toeing the Establishment line, is the latest in a deeply worrying trend of UK government assaults on journalistic freedom. “Early in 2023, genomics scientist Kevin McKernan made an accidental discovery. While running an experiment in his Boston lab, McKernan used some vials of mRNA Pfizer and Moderna Covid vaccines as controls. He was ‘shocked’ to find that they were allegedly contaminated with tiny fragments of plasmid DNA. McKernan, who has 25 years’ experience in his field, ran the experiment again, confirming that the vials contained up to, in his opinion, 18-70 times more DNA contamination than the legal limits allowed by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In particular, McKernan was alarmed to find the presence of an SV40 promoter in the Pfizer vaccine vials.
